The history
Starting with the construction of Formula 1 racing cars, the car manufacturer De Tomaso began building road-going sports cars in the mid-1960s.
De Tomaso agreed to manufacture and assemble Ford V8 engines, which led to a close relationship with the American Ford Group.
With the Pantera, De Tomaso also wanted to build larger numbers, but this was brought to an abrupt halt by the oil crisis. As a result, only 400 examples of the most powerful Pantera of all, the GTS, were built.
This example was produced in 1975 and first registered in Lucerne in August 1976. The entire owner history and maintenance records are available. Between 2003 and 2006, the Pantera underwent an intensive refit, including a new paint job. Less than 10,000 km have been driven since then.
Bodywork and paintwork
You can see that the vehicle has been exceptionally well cared for. The entire structure is untouched, without any corrosion or other damage. The paintwork is of new car quality, the only damage being a stone chip to the edge of the front lip.
Interior
The original leather has been well cared for and preserved without ever being restored or replaced. The carpeting in the passenger compartment is new, as is that under the front and rear hood.
Engine and mechanics
The entire technology was overhauled in preparation for the veteran's inspection in fall 2022 and the carburetors were prepared for a complete overhaul.
Chassis
The chassis has very good test bench values, which also applies to the brakes. The optional rims (7.5 inch front, 10 inch rear) were fitted in 2006 to protect the original magnesium wheels. The original wheels are in good condition but with old tires.
Driving experience
The Pantera is an exceptionally well-balanced mid-engined sports car that shines in particular with its almost infinite torque and directional stability. The brakes do what brakes did in the 70s - powerful pedal action and good contact with the foot sensor to prevent locked front tires.
Recommendation
Italian sports cars - with the exception of Ferrari - have been somewhat neglected in recent decades. This has changed since 2018 and the Italian exotics are attracting more and more attention. The De Tomaso Pantera GTS is not only an exciting car, it is also a safe investment in the classic car market.
The history
Founded in 1952 by Donald Mitchell Healey, the sports car manufacturer experienced many ups and downs during its 17-year existence. Thanks to great sports car successes, over 60,000 of the Big Healeys were produced. Stricter emission standards from the USA and BMC's strategic alignment with Triumph meant the end of the unforgotten sports car brand in 1968, after which it only produced the small Sprite.
After the successful 4-cylinder models BN1 and BN2, the first 6-cylinder Healey was introduced in 1956, the BN4 100six. With its torque and 6-cylinder acoustics, it was the successful sequel and the answer to the booming roadster market at the time.
This example was produced on August 15, 1957 and delivered to Seattle in the USA. In the spring of 2011, the Healey was acquired by a specialist company in Germany, an expert opinion was drawn up and it was extensively restored. Goodtimer acquired this Healey from the German specialist dealership and sold it to a Swiss enthusiast in 2015, freshly veteran-approved.
Bodywork and paintwork
The bodywork is flawless, the gaps are exceptionally good for this year of construction. The paintwork was renewed in 2012 and still has a remarkable deep shine today. The exceptionally good care is evident in the paintwork, which is freshly sealed.
Interior
The genuine leather interior has been renewed, as has the carpeting. The cockpit tarpaulin was elaborately handcrafted in Switzerland and the new fabric soft top was also renewed and precisely fitted.
Engine and mechanics
The entire mechanical system has been continuously maintained, serviced and repaired by professional companies. All maintenance receipts since 2012 are available and document the regular maintenance.
The engine was completely overhauled in 2012, which means that the compression, exhaust values and therefore also the combustion are good. The extensive documentation also includes a measurement report from the performance test.
Chassis
The brakes and chassis were overhauled for the last veteran's test and show new values on the test bench.
Driving experience
The BN4 was the first 6-cylinder from Austin Healey, which shines with very good torque and great acoustics. But driving a Healey is also work, which is good for your fitness. You literally have to experience the unique driving experience of a Healey.
Recommendation
This Healey is doubly enjoyable because its overall condition is remarkably good and it has the charisma of a freshly restored example. Apart from a weakness in the connecting rod bearings in the engine, this Healey is immaculate, has been meticulously maintained and is very well documented.
History
At 115,000 units, the successor to the legendary Jaguar E-Type is not actually a high-volume model. Nevertheless, the XJ-S series was considered a successful model from Jaguar and was also the fastest (and most expensive) coupé with automatic transmission at the time.
In the 22 years of production, various engines were used in this beautiful automobile. The well-known V12 from Jaguar is certainly one of the most popular and coherent for this car, even if maintenance is naturally somewhat more expensive than with a 6-cylinder engine.
This example was delivered 34 years ago in Winterthur and has never left eastern Switzerland. An interesting documentation documents the serious care history of this extremely beautiful car.
Fresh from service and a technical inspection, this veteran-approved XJ-S 12-cylinder goes to its new owner.
Bodywork and paintwork
The original Burgundy color is in excellent condition and has been regularly maintained and preserved over the years, so it has never had to be repainted. Everything on this car is in stunning new condition.
Interior
The fine leather interior and the real wood panel are just as good as new as the exterior. The owner has paid great attention to the cleanliness of the interior and regularly maintained the fine leather seats with special products. No scratches, no discoloration, everything as good as new.
Engine and mechanics
Start at the first turn, silky smooth running characteristics, an excellently tuned 3-speed automatic transmission and optimum driving characteristics. There are no leaks and all units function perfectly. In 34 years, the engine has not had to be washed once, as the car has never seen rain or any other bad weather.
Chassis
The suspension of the Jaguar XJ-S is considered by Jaguar connoisseurs to be one of the best non-hydraulic suspensions of the time. The 2+2 Coupé is correspondingly comfortable to drive. Even at speeds of over 200 km/h, you feel safe and in good hands in the fast Gran Tourismo.
Driving experience
The XJ-S is a cruiser that pampers both driver and passenger. Goodtimer has already driven several thousand kilometers in an XJ-S and knows how relaxed a long journey can feel. The velvety smooth 12-cylinder engine naturally contributes to the superior driving characteristics.
Recommendation
The XJ-S is one of the last 12-cylinder classics on the market. The classic car world is certain that this Gran Tourismo will have a long and solid future. The many Jaguar enthusiasts and specialist dealers around the world ensure that this exotic car will remain on the market for generations.
For collectors and enthusiasts of a unique example that has been in the same ownership since 1990, has been regularly maintained and driven and has the lowest mileage on the current market, this absolutely original and untouched example is highly recommended as a collector's item.
The history
1989 heralded the start of a new model series at BMW. What is now called a Gran Coupé was then a Gran Tourismo in the luxury class.
With a construction period of 11 years and over 30,000 units produced, BMW could be very satisfied, even though a worldwide recession at the beginning of the 1990s caused many potential buyers to hold back.
The coupé of the 1990s is considered an exotic model today, as it was no longer produced in the same form or on the same platform.
This example was ordered as a new car by its current owner on December 21, 1989 at the then list price of CHF 125,140 and registered for the first time 18 months later. Over the past 33 years, its owner has driven 96,500 kilometers, maintained the car regularly and even avoided the rain with this summer car.
Bodywork and paintwork
The original paint is still in very good condition and requires no repairs or touch-ups. The accident-free vehicle is undamaged, the bodywork, gaps and fittings are flawless.
Interior
The fine leather interior is very well maintained and undamaged. The dashboard cover has minimal warping due to sunlight. The carpets are immaculate and are fully foamed and sterilized before delivery. The on-board computer occasionally shows pixel failures in the display, which has no effect on driving.
Engine and mechanics
The entire mechanics are in top condition. A fresh inspection is also carried out here upon purchase. The brakes were overhauled for the last veteran's inspection in May 2023
Chassis
Chassis, suspension and brakes were refurbished for the MFK and passed the test bench test.
Driving experience
The 850i is a Gran Tourismo in a class of its own. “Driving pleasure” in the 90s, and still today. The four-seater sports coupé allows comfortable cruising as well as a very sporty driving style. However, its weight of over 1800 kilograms does not make the 850i a pure sports car.
Recommendation
Getting hold of a 12-cylinder today is on the bucket list of many automobile enthusiasts and collectors. With the BMW 850i or a Mercedes Benz of the R129 series, this wish can still be fulfilled at an affordable price. The fact that this example is a first-hand vehicle makes this 850i an enduringly valuable veteran vehicle with which you can reliably go on long journeys.
The history
From 1969 to 1971, Rolls Royce built the first convertible based on a 2-door Silver Shadow, which was later built as the Corniche with slightly more engine capacity. The luxury car, of which only 505 were built, was the most expensive production convertible in the world.
This Drop Head Coupé was built for the export market and, according to the entry in the original logbook, was delivered on August 26, 1969. In 2008, this example was purchased by its owner in Los Angeles CA and imported to Switzerland.
This very beautiful example has been repainted over the years and the interior has also been completely renewed. A comprehensive and detailed log shows the stations of this solid and lovingly maintained 5-seater convertible up to the MFK inspection in August 2024. In the past 30 years, around 30,000 km have been driven, including a trip to the home country of the noble Briton.
Bodywork and paintwork
The entire body is solid and undamaged. There is no corrosion and the paintwork shows enormous depth and an excellent finish. There is only a small air pocket under the paint on the front right wheel arch. The paintwork was completely renewed in 2010 by a specialist in Switzerland in accordance with Rolls Royce specifications.
Interieur
The interior is immaculate. From the high-gloss lacquered wood to the fine leather, there are hardly any signs of wear. The workmanship of the materials leaves nothing to be desired. The soft top is undamaged, but not new. The tension on the side sections has increased somewhat. The linkage has been overhauled, the convertible top motor is new.
Engine and mechanics
The entire mechanical system is flawless and extremely well maintained. Very good exhaust emission values and only slightly perceptible bearing noises allow the oil pressure to build up cleanly.
Around CHF 14,000 was invested in the technology and maintenance for the new MFK in August 2024.
Chassis
The chassis and brakes were overhauled for the last two MFK inspections and the tires were replaced. The chassis and underbody are undamaged and partially preserved.
Driving experience
The Rolls Royce Silver Shadow drives like a magic carpet. The air suspension absorbs bumps so gently that even the rear passengers enjoy the ride.
500 Newton meters of torque are enough power to push the 2.3 ton convertible forward. And the complete electrical system, from the seat adjustment and the four windows to the soft top, pampers both driver and passengers.
Recommendation
Rolls Royce is a legend and built the best cars in the world in its day. Only a few could afford the luxury of such a convertible. If you ever wanted to own the most expensive convertible in the world, this convertible was the pinnacle of automotive engineering in the late 1960s. With only 505 examples produced, the Silver Shadow Drop Head Coupé is a coveted collector's vehicle.
The history
The MG A is one of the most beautiful British classics of the 50s and 60s and is an interesting investment. Its design language and rock-solid technology make every MG A a welcome guest and loyal companion.
The original version came onto the market with a 72 hp 1489 cc four-cylinder twin-carburetor engine. The technically slightly improved MGA 1600 variant (1588 cm3, 80 hp, front disc brakes) followed in May 1959, followed by a further development stage MGA 1600 Mk II in March 1961 (1622 cm3, 86 hp).
This example is considered a rarity, as it is an original Swiss first delivery.
Bodywork and paintwork
The bodywork was refreshed and painted in 2021 at a cost of over CHF 10,000.
Interior
The new leather seats are also beautifully finished, as are the carpets, the soft top, a cockpit tarpaulin and the original triple-spoke steering wheel.
Engine and mechanics
Under the hood, the MG A looks like a new car. The entire mechanical system was overhauled at great expense and many parts were revised.
Chassis
The new chrome-spoked wheels are fitted with Michelin XZX tires, the brake system has been overhauled and much more.
Driving experience
The most original of all MG A roadsters shines with its crisp sound and a reliable engine that has been tried and tested over many years. Like every MG A, you are exposed to the airstream and don't notice the 8 hp less than the more powerful model. Only on hills does the “little” 1500 have to breathe a little more than its bigger brothers.
Recommendation
An MG A with which you can drive off and have fun.
The history
The V8 BMW Type 502 was called the king of the highway in the 1950s. With this car, BMW built a V8 engine for the first time, which was one of the world's first large series aluminum engines.
After overcoming the financial difficulties, the new BMW model was presented to the public for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1954: The BMW 502. It was the first German eight-cylinder car after the war, with the engine itself being the world's first mass-produced eight-cylinder unit made of cast aluminum. The body, frame and transmission were adopted from the six-cylinder 501 model without any changes. This meant that the 502 also had a gearbox separate from the engine block, which further improved the smooth running of the silky-smooth V8 engine, which was on a par with that of American eight-cylinder engines.
This “Baroque Angel” is one of the few vehicles delivered in Switzerland that was first put on the road in 1957. And it is the only example known to us with the large factory folding roof. In 1994, the proud saloon was taken over by its current owner and extensively restored in several stages to its current condition, with the entire mechanical system being continuously overhauled. A major inspection was carried out for the last MFK veteran's inspection and it has been driven 300 km since then.
Bodywork and paintwork
Even after many years since the restoration, the original paint is still in excellent condition and requires neither repairs nor touch-ups. The accident-free vehicle is undamaged, the bodywork, gaps and fittings are flawless.
Interior
The fine fabric interior is as good as new. Only the foam underlays are a little more flexible and show their age. The wood of the dashboard and panels is still in excellent restoration condition. The headliner with the coveted folding roof, which was replaced at the time, is as good as new and in perfect working order.
Engine and mechanics
The entire mechanical system is in very good condition, freshly overhauled (CHF 4,000 for the last MFK) and only requires a fresh inspection, which will be carried out when the vehicle is purchased.
Chassis
Chassis, suspension and brakes have been refurbished for the MFK and have passed the test bench test. The underbody is in very good condition and has only 2 older and professionally carried out welding repairs.
Driving experience
The king of the highway rightly bears this title. The 502 is silky smooth and loves fast roads just as much as the highway. With the permitted 6 passengers, it will certainly have to work harder with its slightly more than 100 hp than a current V8, but it will take the driver and passengers to their destination in a relaxed manner.
History
The Mercedes 300 SE Cabriolet was launched on the market in February 1962 as the successor to the 300 Adenauer model series. Only a total of 708 Cabriolets were produced, as the purchase price was exorbitantly expensive and the number of buyers was correspondingly small. Mercedes equipped the 300 SE Cabriolet with all the technologies available at the time, including a light-alloy engine with intake manifold injection, 4-speed automatic transmission, air suspension with level control, disc brakes all round with pneumatic brake booster, self-locking differential, power steering, brake hold-down on the rear axle and much more. The luxurious and high-quality interior emphasized the noblesse of this noble, air-sprung convertible. Today, the Mercedes 300 SE is the avant-garde of the 111/112 convertibles, it is very rare and for connoisseurs the crowning glory of these timeless and elegant motor vehicles.
This Mercedes 300 SE Cabriolet was first put on the road in Munich before being imported to Switzerland in the early 1970s (Stamm 047.). This exclusive example was in family ownership for many years, where it was looked after and gently restored time and again. The owner of this convertible had his 300 SE completely restored in 2022 and 2023.
This example impresses with its originality and loving care history, which is documented in the original customer service booklet. The original operating instructions are also present, as are the repair and maintenance documents from previous years.
Bodywork and paintwork
The entire body has been dismantled and freshly rebuilt. The body and paintwork are in immaculate condition 1. All add-on parts have been freshly chrome-plated.
Interior
The interior has been completely renewed. From the seat springs to the original perforated leather, from the insulation to the high-quality carpeting. From the instruments to the wooden fittings, everything has been restored to a high standard.
Engine and mechanics
The mechanics have been constantly maintained and overhauled, the injection system has been revised and the ignition system has also been overhauled. There is no need for maintenance or repairs.
Chassis
The comfortable air suspension has been freshly overhauled and is fully functional. The rims have been restored and the tires have been replaced.
Driving experience
Float and enjoy
Recommendation
Built 708 times, the Mercedes Benz 300 SE is one of the most collectible vehicles of the brand with the three-pointed star. This example is in immaculate condition and can take part in any concours.
History
At the Geneva Motor Show in March 1963, Mercedes Benz presented a completely new design language for convertible bodywork drawn by Béla Barényi. The new Mercedes Benz was given the architectural nickname “Pagoda”, which it still claims today, because of the additional inwardly curved hardtop that was available.
The Pagoda's task was not only to replace the somewhat underpowered 190SL, but also the epoch-making 300SL. The revised 6-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2.3 liters and around 150 hp delivered outstanding performance for the time. Even a Ferrari had to admit defeat on the Nürburgring, as the extremely well-balanced chassis and excellent brakes had a technical advantage to offer. In addition, the 230 SL was the first convertible from Mercedes Benz to introduce extensive safety measures. As elegant and inconspicuous as it was, the Pagoda joined the automotive summit meeting with the Jaguar E-Type, Porsche 911S, Ferrari 308 and Chevrolet Corvette C3.
This example is a Swiss first delivery and was owned for over two decades by the most famous Swiss automotive journalist at the time. Following a bet, he drove his Pagoda in the legendary China Rally from Beijing to Shanghai. He then had the car extensively restored in Switzerland and handed it over to Goodtimer five years later after moving away from Switzerland.
Bodywork and paintwork
The restoration from 2013 shows its true quality today. The entire body as well as the paintwork are undamaged and have a very beautiful and authentic shine. The gaps, typical of Mercedes Benz, are excellent. The trim bars have very few dents that can be corrected. The missing trim piece on the left fender will be corrected.
Interior
The genuine leather interior, which was renewed in 2013/14, was fitted out in the original blue 979 and covered with the equally original graphite gray 6117 carpeting. Even the door panels were renewed and all applications restored. Only the lid to the ashtray was missing, a detail that will be fitted in the Goodtimer restoration workshop.
Engine and mechanics
The engine and exhaust values are excellent. Both compression and pollutant emissions are within the target range and the engine revs silky smooth.
Chassis
The chassis and brakes were overhauled during the last veteran's inspection and are in perfect working order.
The chassis and underbody were completely ice-blasted in 2013, rust removed and the entire structure preserved to a high standard. The work is documented with countless photographs.
Driving experience
The Pagoda is both comfortable and sporty to drive. The easy-to-change gearbox can be left in fourth gear even at city speeds. If you like it sporty, you can feel how powerfully the crankshaft unfolds from 4000 rpm with a throaty sound.
The Pagoda is a car for the driver, for the front passenger and even for the third passenger on the rear bench.
Recommendation
Apart from a few unkempt and therefore rust-prone examples, the Mercedes Benz Pagoda is a grateful classic. This convertible can be driven or simply looked at. A well-maintained example is even forgiving of longer downtimes. And you can enjoy it with a hardtop, softtop or open top.
This example impresses with its unique combination of Swiss first delivery, prominent previous ownership, an exclusive travel history and a beautifully executed restoration 11 years ago. In its condition 2, the 230SL presents itself honestly, authentically restored, but not over-restored.
The history
The Fiat Dino Spider was the first small-series car to be fitted with the 2-liter engine developed by Agostino Ferrari for Formula 2. When production came to an end after 1,163 Spiders, the press wrote:
“As a Spider, the Fiat Dino is not just beautiful, but also quite rare. And very expensive, because it is actually a Ferrari.”
In 1968, this Dino Spider with chassis 904 was registered for the first time in the canton of Zurich with the license plate ZH222212 and remained in the possession of the Fiat enthusiast for 14 years.
On November 23, 1982, a young man, also from Zurich, was able to realize his dream and buy this Dino Spider. The car has remained in his possession to this day. Over the past 42 years, he has regularly looked after his Spider and kept every receipt, making this example a valuable documented car. A gentle restoration was carried out in 2016. Another CHF 24,000 was invested in overhauling the technology to make it ready for sale and for the fresh MFK inspection.
Bodywork and paintwork
The paintwork was refreshed in its original color in 2016 as a result of a bodywork restoration with the renewal of the sills. The paintwork has very good substance and a beautiful shine. In 2021, the paintwork and interior were gently restored at a cost of CHF 14,000.
Interior
The leather interior was also renewed, as was the carpet landscape. The same applies to the dashboard, which was renewed due to weathering and age.
Engine and mechanics
The engine was regularly serviced and any necessary repairs were carried out immediately. Very good exhaust emission values, tested compression values of the engine and a freshly overhauled gearbox mean that the Dino's original 71,000 kilometers of mileage are hardly noticeable.
Chassis
The chassis and brakes were revised for the recent veteran's test and show very good test values.
Driving experience
Although built by Fiat, the Dino Spider was designed by Pininfarina and fitted with the engine by Ferrari. And this is evident when driving with all the senses. With 160 hp of power, the 1100 kg kerb weight is light as a feather. The engine revs up and shows that even 2 liters of displacement can hiss. The rigid rear axle requires a good feel and a little practice for a very sporty driving style.
Acoustics and torque, beauty and fresh air - this makes the Dino Spider a wonderful pleasure car.
Recommendation
This Dino fulfills all the criteria of a collector's vehicle.
- The Pininfarina-designed Spider is rare
- with the engine developed by Ferrari's son - Agostino (Dino) Ferrari - who died young, the car carries an incomparable legend
- this example with Swiss first delivery and over 40 years in second hand is unique and extensively documented.
- The Dino Spider is not only a good investment, it is also a pleasure to drive.
History
Ferrari, the most renowned sports car manufacturer in the world, developed the worthy successor to the now highly prized 246 Dino GT/GTS in collaboration with Sergio Pininfarina. In 1974, the Bertone-designed Dino 308 GT was launched on the market, but despite the new and powerful V8 engine, it was not really recognized as a true Dino successor.
In 1975, the successful 308 GTB was introduced, which was built for around 10 years and, produced by Scaglietti, was also a great success outside Europe.
This example was delivered by the well-known Ferrari specialist Becker from Düsseldorf on June 22, 1979. The 308 remained with the buyer until 1987 and was sold and imported to Switzerland in August.
Over the past 37 years, the 308 has received an extensive technical overhaul and excellent care. From 2010 to 2013, many documents and invoices document the extensive work commissioned by the current owner. The 308 presents itself in an exceptionally well-maintained condition, is freshly veteran-inspected and has undergone a major inspection with a fresh timing belt and tensioner pulley.
Bodywork and paintwork
The paintwork is largely original and has only been repainted in a few places. The overall substance is flawless and undamaged. No welding or repairs to the substance are visible. The doors open and close perfectly, hinges and fittings are of new car quality.
Interior
The interior has been completely restored and the seats covered with new leather. The previous mileage of 100,000 km cannot be seen on the outside or inside of the car.
Engine and mechanics
The mechanics were extensively overhauled between 2010 and 2013. All receipts from the specialist workshops that serviced this GTB are available. Only 11,000 km have been driven since the technical overhaul.
Chassis
The chassis was also completely overhauled during the restoration work and all bearings were replaced. In addition to the coveted “Fagix” alloy wheels of the time, the original wheels are also still present.
Driving experience
The 308 GTB, especially the powerful carburetor version, is a sports car that still gives you goose bumps today. From the rapid acceleration to the powerful brakes, the 308 GTB offers amazingly good handling and beguiles with breathtaking acoustics.
Recommendation
The Ferrari 308 is predicted to have a great future as a collector's car. Its development is going in a similar direction to that of the Dino series of the 245 GT and 246 GTS. A well-documented and well-maintained example, which also has the original service booklet, is a guarantee for a solid increase in value. Above all, however, it is simply a pleasure to drive this genuine hot hatchback.
History
The lasting success of the Mini was not foreseeable when Alec Issigonis drew his first sketches of the small car - with space for four people and the wheels at the extreme end of the body - on a tablecloth.
On October 4, 2000, the last original Mini rolled off the production line, with only minor technical changes during the 41-year production period. The successful subcompact model had thus reached a total production volume of 5,387,862 vehicles.
This example belongs to the last series built and was delivered six months before the end of production. With full leather upholstery, aluminum dashboard and fine accessories, the sports version was upgraded to a very luxurious level. Freshly inspected, serviced and with only 13,000 km on the clock, this as-new example is going into the hands of a new owner.
History
Volvo's Shooting Brake is considered the forerunner of today's popular estate coupés.
With just 8,077 units produced, the “Snow White's Coffin”, as it is popularly known, is considered a collector's vehicle.
This example was first registered in Switzerland in the summer of 1972 and has remained in the same ownership for 37 years. The veteran-approved classic car is largely unrestored and has only covered 118,000 km.
The Volvo estate coupé is an extremely sophisticated vehicle and a highly reliable classic car.
Body and paintwork
The paintwork is largely original. Only a few parts have been repainted in the past 50 years. The left side panel has three dents, which can be removed by professionally pulling the sheet metal if desired.
The chrome parts are in very good condition, some of the trim bars have slight dents.
Interieur
The original genuine leather upholstery is in very good condition, as is the entire interior. The elegant round instrumentation is fully functional.
The beautiful wooden steering wheel matches the stylish interior perfectly and underlines the classic touch of this style icon.
Engine and mechanics
The technology is in excellent condition. The vehicle has been well looked after by the owner's family and regular inspections have been carried out. Thanks to the good care, no maintenance work has had to be carried out to date.
Chassis
The well-balanced chassis makes for a comfortable journey. In tight and fast bends, the body leans to one side, but without drifting out of line. The road holding is remarkable and the brakes grip reliably.
Driving experience
A goodtimer has a lot of long-distance experience with these cars. The space is excellent. And it is equally astonishing how sporty this classic can be driven.
Recommendation
The Volvo estate coupé is an extremely sophisticated vehicle and a highly reliable classic car.
From a 4-seater to an estate car. The variability is just as amazing as the driving performance of the 124 hp injection engine. With a top speed of 190 km/h, there is no obstacle to using this classic on long journeys. The original genuine leather upholstery is in a very well-kept condition, as is the entire interior. The fine round instrumentation is fully functional.
The beautiful wooden steering wheel matches the stylish interior perfectly and underlines the classic touch of this style icon.

History
Driving a convertible in style. Jaguar's X100 project was produced a total of 90,000 times between 1995 and 2005, of which just under 14,000 were the powerful supercharged V8. With an acceleration of 5.4 seconds to 100 km/h and a top speed of 260 km/h, the XKR is still one of the fastest sports cars today. And as a 4-seater convertible, it is still one of the most powerful cars on the road. Only its elegance at the turn of the millennium is and remains unbeatable and timeless.
This exceptionally well-maintained example has only been driven 76,000 km by its two previous owners.
Bodywork and paintwork
The flawless bodywork has so far been spared any damage and has never had to be repainted. There is a small dent on one door from a carelessly opened door of another car. After paint sealing, the wonderful gloss paint finish with a soft metallic is close to new car condition.
Interior
The interior was professionally treated in summer 2024 and freshly colored in the area of the driver's seat. All add-on parts are in perfect condition, controls and displays are fully functional. The soft top is undamaged and the soft top hydraulics were overhauled in 2024.
Engine and mechanics
The entire mechanical system is flawless and extremely well maintained. The engine has very good performance and emission values. The automatic gearbox shifts perfectly and the brakes were also repaired for the recent MFK inspection.
Chassis
The chassis has impeccable test bench values, the power steering is noiseless and easy to control.
Driving experience
A car for connoisseurs. If a Porsche is too expensive, a Maserati too loud and a Mercedes not charming enough, enjoy the power of the supercharged engine, the gentle growl of the V8 engine and the incomparable charm of a true British gentleman driver.
Recommendation
With the top equipment and all conceivable extras in elegant black, this XKR is a wonderful summer convertible, and it drives smoothly on all roads and in all weathers. The XK is not a collector's item, although the supercharged version and an example with so few kilometers definitely has the potential to become one.
The history
As the successor to the Pagoda, Mercedes Benz developed a completely new model. The designer, who was already responsible for the historically valuable models of the 500K and the famous 300SL, created this modern and safe-looking body.
The 107 series remained in production for around 18 years and was offered in Europe with a total of seven different engines.
This 280SL belongs to the last series with the proven 6-cylinder engine with double overhead camshaft. The vehicle was first owned in Germany and was imported to Switzerland around 10 years ago. The existing Mercedes Benz maintenance booklet confirms the service care since delivery.
This exceptionally well-maintained example has never been welded and still has its white stone chip protection in the underbody.
Bodywork and paintwork
The paintwork is extremely original and well maintained. With a 3-phase treatment, the paint surface can be restored to near new condition. The body is undamaged, only the driver's door was repainted at a time unknown to us (over 15 years ago). The body also includes a hardtop in mint condition.
Interior
The original leather was restored in 2018 and professionally maintained again in 2023. The entire interior is original and very well maintained. Only the floor carpet on the driver's side has non-removable traces of use. Hardly available anymore, the contemporary Becker car radio with cassette, as it could be ordered for this series at the time. The soft top was renewed in 2016, closes perfectly and seals the interior.
Engine and mechanics
The solid mechanics have been regularly maintained and serviced by all previous owners. The last veteran's inspection was completed in September 2021 without any complaints. An extensive inspection was carried out at Goodtimer in May 2024.
Chassis
Chassis and brakes work perfectly. In particular, the rare and very elegant steel wheels with the painted chrome caps give this example an unmistakable charm.
Driving experience
The 280SL is a fantastic cruiser that is ideal for long journeys. Even the trunk offers so much space that you can go on vacation with it. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and everything works as it should for a Mercedes convertible. Last but not least, this example was equipped by its first owner with the then very expensive options such as air conditioning (with adjustable automatic!) and electric windows. The optional wind deflector prevents hair from blowing away and also protects the driver and front passenger.
Recommendation
Anyone who wants a convertible from this model series in exceptionally well-kept condition will have a lot of fun with this car. The comfort features, the relatively low mileage of 144,000 km and, finally, the low maintenance costs ensure that this model retains its value.

History
In the style of the 30s, the Morgan Plus 8 was built on a steel ladder frame with 94 ash wood elements. The hand-assembled sports roadster is known for its advertising slogan: Do you really think your life is hard? Then you've never driven a Morgan!
This example was first delivered in Luxembourg on September 25, 1981. The Morgan was imported to Switzerland in February 1987 and remained in western Switzerland until it was taken over by Goodtimer in 2020.
The Plus8 was restored over a period of two years, requiring almost 200 hours of work, and made ready for the buyer.
Bodywork and paintwork
The paintwork in the original factory color Jaguar Dark Blue (factory certificate available) was completely renewed in 2010. Today there is some patina and the deep shine is excellent after the paint renovation.
The special feature of this example is its aluminum body, which was made to customer order at the time.
Interieur
The new full leather interior was completely redesigned on behalf of the buyer in 2021. Bentley's “saddle” leather was chosen to give the Morgan the desired noblesse. A high-quality burl wood dashboard and a matching wooden steering wheel were also added.
Engine and mechanics
The V8 engine, which can also be found in the Classic Range Rover, is an almost indestructible machine. The solid and simple technology, the reliability of the entire drive and the simplicity of the design make it possible to overlook the one or other creative power management solution.
This Plus8 was also satisfied with the usual maintenance work and the replacement of wearing parts during the last major inspection. During the restoration work in 2020 & 21, the electrics were overhauled and re-fused and the fuel supply from the fuel tank to the carburetors was overhauled.
Chassis
The crisp and hard chassis lets you feel every bump, which is transferred to the chassis in a sporty manner with the new shock absorbers. The steel frame is robust, unwelded and preserved.
Driving experience
An unladen weight of 848 kilograms and 160 high-torque horsepower make the Plus 8 a bullet. The Plus 8 drives like a go-kart and gets the power out of the basement. The ability to accelerate the car in fourth gear from 20k m/h to 200 km/h as if pulled by a rubber band is a unique driving experience in this genuine sports roadster.
Recommendation
A Morgan Plus8 with an aluminum body is not only a pleasure to drive, it is also a worthwhile investment, as such examples are extremely rare and absolutely stable in value.
Thanks to the extensive and documented restoration of 2020 and 2021 as well as the technical maintenance, this Plus8 is an extremely inexpensive example that can be re-registered for the veteran's inspection in three years with little effort.
The Aston Martin Vantage is one of the icons in the history of automotive design, captivating with its commanding presence and exceptionally purist and sculptural styling. Its powerful appearance is hard to resist, and its no-frills design is a lesson in proportions and flawless aesthetics.
The Special Edition SP10 is a tribute to Aston Martin's racing successes. After all, they always have to be hard-won, but the hardest of all is on the Nordschleife at the Nürburgring. In recent years, the V8 Vantage GT4 race cars have achieved two class victories and four podium finishes in the demanding 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. To honor this achievement and to give the V8 Vantage S an even more exacerbated racing feel, Aston Martin has created the limited “SP10 Special Edition” for a small circle of its customers.
The SP10 Special Edition is based on the same components as Aston Martin's GT4 racing cars. The SP10 also has the powerful 4.7-liter V8 engine. 436 hp of power and 490 Nm of torque deliver rapid acceleration and are accompanied by a rich sound thanks to a special sports exhaust system. Equipped with an automated 7-speed “Sportshift II” gearbox, the SP10 is equally attractive for purists and those with an affinity for technology. The powerful and race-proven braking system, wider tires and more direct steering complete this incomparable powerhouse.
This example was given to a lady as a Christmas present in 2013. Over the past almost 11 years, the Sportroadster has been regularly driven 3,000 km per year and maintained and serviced by the Aston Martin garage. The vehicle is immaculate and only has a barely noticeable dent at the rear.
The SP10 special model with a special paint finish and upgraded interior in a limited edition was only produced 384 times. This makes this sports roadster one of the collector's vehicles of the future.
With 437 hp under the hood and a 1000 watt sound system behind it, you can expect performance at all levels. A fantastic and fully serviced example.
History
With the “affordable dream car for young men”, according to the press at the time, Alfa Romeo achieved a stroke of genius with the Giulia GT Coupé designed by Bertone. Around 224,000 units of the 4-seater sports car were built between 1963 and 1977.
Following an extensive restoration, this example was acquired by Goodtimer, where it is to be put back on the road as an active vehicle.
Bodywork and paintwork
The paintwork is of new car quality, is still very attractive and will be given a fresh sealant when sold. There are slight signs of use, but these hardly detract from the overall appearance.
Interior
The interior is in very good condition. It is not known when it was renewed. There are very few signs of wear on the rear seat shell. The atmosphere is unique, the seats sporty, the interior clean and spacious.
Engine and mechanics
The mechanics were partially revised during the technical inspection in summer 2024, the engine and exhaust values were checked, the cooling system was refilled, the gearbox and clutch were tested and the electrical system was completely overhauled for function. Only the rev counter shows approx. 800 rpm too much due to the conversion of the ignition system.
Chassis
The front and rear axles were measured, adjusted and tested for the next 6 years. The brakes were replaced in 2021 as part of the new veteran's inspection
Driving experience
“Cuore Sportivo” - the Alfa Romeo hallmark is part of the program and is reflected in the Giulia GT. In the early 1970s, this coupé was one of the fastest sports cars on the road. The transfer from Montreux to eastern Switzerland was completed on its own wheels via Furka/Oberalp, which speaks for the reliability of this model.
Recommendation
Goodtimer started restoring cars like this around 10 years ago. Since then, the market value of this car has almost doubled. Today, the GT Coupé is one of the most collectible classics in the CHF 40,000 to CHF 80,000 price range. Depending on condition and restoration quality, there is a solid selection of examples to choose from, and there is something on the market for every taste.
History
In 1953, racing driver Donald Healey started production of his own sports roadster with car manufacturer Austin. Intended for the race track but also suitable for the road, the result was a fantastic, uncompromising sports car that cost just over half the price of a Jaguar XK120 at the time.
From 1953 to 1968, a total of 72,000 Austin Healeys were built, becoming increasingly comfortable over the years. Today, the Austin Healey is one of the most popular classic sports cars with British charm. A Healey is welcome everywhere, can also be used well on long journeys and has an excellent spare parts supply.
This early, genuine Austin Healey 100 is not only one of these sought-after purist BN1s from the first series, it is also a matching numbers vehicle with left-hand drive and a Km/h speedometer for the Central European market.
The Heritage Certificate and the Goodtimer Expertise are in progress for this rare collector's example, which further enhances its collector status.
The Healey 100 has been lovingly cared for and successively restored by its previous owner over the past 13 years. The nut and bolt restoration was carried out from the ground up in a completely dismantled state. The work is documented accordingly.
As a Healey specialist, we at Goodtimer are extremely pleased to have such a valuable and beautiful collector's example on offer.
Bodywork and paintwork
10 years after a full restoration, the quality is evident. The paint substance, the overall structure and the shine are still outstanding today. No dents, no scratches, an almost flawless example with very little patina in the area of the aluminum applications.
The bodywork and the gaps have been significantly improved and require no corrections. The red soft top and the windshields are new.
Interior
The elegant and matching leather interior has also been renewed, as has the carpeting. The same applies to the dashboard, which was rebuilt and repainted.
Engine and mechanics
The engine was regularly serviced and any necessary repairs were carried out immediately. Very good exhaust emission values, tested compression values of the engine and a revised 3-speed gearbox with overdrive in stages 2 and 3 show neither wear nor need for maintenance. A comprehensive inspection and a new veteran's inspection are carried out at the time of purchase.
Chassis
The chassis and brakes are also checked and revised for the fresh veteran's inspection. The tires were replaced in 2021 and have been driven less than 500 km since then
Driving experience
Healey is a myth - When 2.7 liters of displacement are distributed over four cylinders, there is torque in abundance. The Healey is powerful and drives just as sportily as it does comfortably. The sound and the feeling of fresh air in a Healey have a unique character, especially when the windshield is in the Le Mans position.
Recommendation
An Austin Healey is first and foremost a vehicle that is convincing as a driving machine and gives a great deal of pleasure. Its unmistakable lines, robustness and good-natured engineering make every Healey a reliable friend on the road.
Rare examples such as this Healey 100 are also popular among collectors and have proven their high value stability over the years.
History
In 1953, racing driver Donald Healey started production of his own sports roadster with car manufacturer Austin. Intended for the race track but also suitable for the road, the result was a fantastically uncompromising sports car that cost just over half the price of a Jaguar XK120 at the time.
A total of 72,000 Austin Healeys were built between 1953 and 1968, becoming increasingly comfortable over the years. Today, the Austin Healey is one of the most popular classic sports cars with British charm. A Healey is welcome everywhere, can also be used well on long journeys and has an excellent spare parts supply.
This genuine Healey 100 is one of the last produced from Donald Healey's first sports car series and is Heritage Certified. From 2016 to 2017, the vehicle was extensively restored and technically optimized with Denis Welsh components and 4-speed transmission with overdrive.
Bodywork and paintwork
All bodywork elements are undamaged and fit perfectly. The paintwork has very little patina and a deep shine. The professional conversion with Brooklands windows and adaptations in the pedals, steering wheel and gearshift are geared towards sport.
Interior
Just like the bodywork, the interior presents itself undamaged and equipped with solid leather. The carpets and trim are well maintained.
Engine and mechanics
The mechanical condition is brilliant. Only 4,000 km have been driven since the engine, gearbox, rear axle, steering and brakes were completely overhauled. The vehicle is suitable for long distances and is very reliable.
Chassis
The chassis was also part of the restoration in 2017 and was replaced along with the wire wheels.
Driving experience
An Austin Healey is a fantastic sports car of the old guard per se. You feel every bump and turn in immediately. The road holding is remarkable and the brakes are also powerful. This example with the optional Brooklands disks conveys a pure racing feeling. The original, lowerable windshield as well as the side windows and a new soft top are part of the equipment of this Healey.
Recommendation
The Healey 100 in British racing green in racing trim is the right choice for every classic motorsport enthusiast. This example impresses with its excellent condition and outstanding technology. For buyers from the EU, this Healey is a real bargain, not least because there is no tax to pay. Buyers from Switzerland have to reckon with 14% import costs and approx. CHF 1,600 MFK costs.

History
At the presentation of the 928, the design polarized opinion: some observers praised the clarity of the lines, others found them “atypically German”. A special feature was the retracted C-pillar at the rear and the curved rear side windows. The Porsche designers took up an idea that Richard Teague had first realized in 1975 with the AMC Pacer. The design of the 928 was influential. In the following years, it served as inspiration for various manufacturers for their own models.
The 928S4 presented here is available with all its documents, was first delivered by AMAG Switzerland in 1989, was regularly driven until 2014 and was fully serviced. This 928 was then kept in a collection for 8 years before it was added to the Goodtimer collection. This S4 drives like a new car with all its modern functions such as ABS, automatic air conditioning, electric seat adjustment with memory and heating, sound system, electric tailgate with fold-down function and much more.
The Porsche 928 is on its way to establishing itself as the classic car of the future. Over the past 35 years, this luxurious and powerful sports car has covered an average of just over 3,000 kilometers per year and passed the veteran's test for the first time in January 2022 without any faults.
Bodywork and paintwork
The bodywork is absolutely undamaged and the gaps and add-on parts are in excellent condition. The paintwork was professionally refurbished and wax-sealed in summer 2024.
Interior
The interior of this example is in a rarely seen fabric and leather combination and in immaculate condition. The dashboard trim has been repaired with genuine leather in areas exposed to the heat. All instruments are intact and function perfectly.
Engine and mechanics
The original inspection booklet is available and documents the service care of this 928 S4. The engine and emission values of the Gran Tourismo equipped with a catalytic converter correspond to the factory specifications and are MFK-compliant. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and the brakes were overhauled in 2024.
Chassis
Chassis and brakes show perfect values on the test bench. The underbody is undamaged, unwelded and in its factory-preserved condition.
Driving experience
The Porsche 928 is a real Grand Tourismo, this S4 drives like a new car with all its modern functions such as ABS, automatic air conditioning, electric seat adjustment with memory and heating, sound system, electric tailgate with fold-down function and much more.
The car is extremely directionally stable and is easy and relaxed to drive. The V8 propels the 1600 kg family coupé light-footedly up to over 250 km/h.
Recommendation
The Porsche 928 is a solid value in the classic car sector. Its special body and powerful engine had little to do with Porsche's 911 culture, which also caused resistance at the time. Comfort, long-distance capability, spaciousness and reliability won out in the end, making the 928 a collector's car of the future.
This extremely well-maintained example still exudes the scent and ambience of the late 1980s.

The history
The Aston Martin DB2 launched the era of automobile construction under the leadership of David Braun. The body of the DB2 was built at Mulliner, which served as a model for the following series up to the DB6.
The DB2/4 was a hatchback coupé body that offered seating for 4 people. From October 1953 to October 1955, around 400 coupés and 165 cabriolets were produced. The handcrafted aluminum body is an automotive work of art. The Aston Martin DB2/4 is a collector's car.
After 54 years in first ownership and an exciting history at Bonhams in London, this virtually untouched DB2/4 came into the possession of the Goodtimer owner through a private relationship in the summer of 2016, where it was restored over 4 years and at a cost of over CHF 200,000.
Bodywork and paintwork
The aluminum body was repainted in its original color before Goodtimer took over. The paintwork is still as good as new with a perfect shine.
The chrome parts were completely refurbished, from the nickel plating to the chrome bath. Only the slim door handles are still untouched.
The doors close perfectly, the hood closes correctly, although the size of the hood means that the locking mechanism has to be adjusted from time to time to achieve a nice gap.
The side-opening tailgate and the spare wheel well are immaculate.
panel on the dashboard and the original wooden steering wheel were restored by hand by wood specialist Brambilla in Italy. The entire interior is in mint condition through and through.
Engine and mechanics
The long period of time between the death of the first owner and the takeover by Goodtimer has left its mark on the engine and the mechanical units.
The engine was completely overhauled with new parts from Aston Service Dorset LTD, the gearbox was revised and all mechanical and electrical components were overhauled.
The engine runs amazingly smoothly, the acoustics are breathtaking and thanks to a kerb weight of just 1100 kg, the DB2 is a fast sports car.
Chassis
The chassis, brake system and springs were completely overhauled. In the course of the restoration, the original spoked wheels were replaced with high-quality chrome-plated spoked wheels and fitted with Michelin Pilote X Racing tires.
The underbody is very clean and undamaged. The restored substance has been treated with fresh wax preservation.
Driving experience
The engine, which is sporty and acoustically breathtaking in every respect, shows amazing propulsion for an automobile that is almost 70 years old. That an Aston Martin is a must for an automobile collector is impressively demonstrated by this early DB2/4. The gearbox is crisp and precise to shift and the non-servo-assisted brakes make every millimeter of pressure on the pedal feel safe. The steering is challenging (tight) and lets the driver feel the road.
This Aston Martin DB2/4 has already proven itself at two historic rallies in Switzerland, finishing 3rd and 7th. Anyone who likes a sporty approach to historic events will qualify perfectly with this DB2.
Recommendation
The 3rd place at the Concours d'Elégance in Zurich was not only achieved because of the fantastically original and respectfully restored overall condition. The documentation begins with Form No. 06/586/0 dated June 2, 1954, the Aston Martin warranty certificate, which is supplemented by the warranty work, an engine overhaul dated January 31, 1956.
The Bonhams report dated May 9, 2015, a Heritage Trust Certificate and the FIVA ID card complete the extensive documentation of this historic Aston Martin DB2/4.
The DB2 was the icon of British sports car construction at the time and still inspires a wide audience today. This example can be a valuable addition to a collection and can also continue to be used at public events or historic rallies such as the Mille Miglia. One of the must-haves among historically valuable automobiles.
The history
Sports cars in the 70s were either 2-seater - or beautiful. The Indy was and is both. Large doors invite you to enter comfortably at the front and rear. Four people can then enjoy the incomparably sporty acoustics and the power of the high-torque V8 engine.
With a total of 1,136 units produced, the Indy is also one of the secret favorites in the classic market in terms of production strength. The Indy designed by Vignale will continue to experience timelessness in the decades to come.
The example offered here was first put on the road by a diplomat in Geneva in 1976 and 40,000 kilometers and
34 years later, it became part of Switzerland's most famous collection of sports cars and sporty classics.
Freshly collected from the shores of Lake Geneva, this beautifully maintained Indy with an original mileage of 50,000 km is looking for a new owner.
Bodywork and paintwork
The entire paintwork is uniquely beautiful, the clear coat was completely refreshed again in spring 2023. Not a dent or scratch is visible.
Interior
The high-quality leather was renewed by the second owner according to the original sample and still looks like new today.
Engine and mechanics
The solid mechanics have been regularly maintained and serviced by all previous owners. The cooling system, air conditioning and electrical system have recently been overhauled or replaced.
Chassis
The suspension and brakes were overhauled and freshly checked. The original Borrani rims were also turned out and painted.
Driving experience
The Indy is a comfortable Gran Tourismo that is also very fast. It loves long journeys and beautiful trips, and it feels very much at home both on mountain roads and on the highway. The sound of the V8 is a wonderful accompaniment without being intrusive.
Recommendation
This Italian classic is the right sports car for both collectors and driving enthusiasts, especially as Indy's are still available at comfortable prices. In recent years, as with most Italian exotics, a solid increase in value can be observed.
This one is probably one of the best maintained in Switzerland.
History
The Daytona for the family was presented for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1971. Around 505 examples of this 2+2 seater were built in just under 2 years.
Underestimated for a long time, the GTC/4 has been experiencing an above-average increase in value for several years, pushing prices up to over CHF 400,000 - and rising.
The GTC/4 is often called “The best sounding Ferrari ever made”. Its 340 hp 4.4 liter V12 engine is not only powerful and a feast for the eyes, it also propels the beautiful coupé to a top speed of 260 km/h. The body was built by Pininfarina and completed at Ferrari's main factory in Maranello. Ferrari connoisseurs consider the 2+2 to be the best-driving classic V12 Ferrari ever built.
This example was first delivered in Switzerland in May 1972 and belonged to a renowned automobile collection in eastern Switzerland, where the 365 GTC/4 changed hands in the family 25 years ago. The unrestored example has undergone an extensive refit in recent years, during which the engine, paintwork and interior were professionally overhauled, revised and restored.
Bodywork and paintwork
The paintwork is in new condition after a professional and multi-layered preparation. The clean body has perfect gaps and only two small pressure marks, which will of course be corrected.
As this Ferrari has never been used for sporting purposes, the entire underbody and chassis are undamaged and completely free of damage.
Interior
The restored leather seats have the famous Connolly scent and are as good as new. The leather is undamaged, as are the panels, consoles and dashboard. Everything is in extremely well-kept condition. The power window motors still operate at around 70% and close cleanly. All operating functions are intact, the high-quality Becker radio is as good as new.
Engine and mechanics
The technology was completely overhauled for over CHF 60,000, the engine was completely overhauled at Ferrari in 2022. The starting behavior, warm-up characteristics and exhaust emissions meet the expectations of a 12-cylinder Ferrari. The gearbox and rear axle are noiseless and the gearshift is precise.
Chassis
The suspension and brakes were revised and tested on the test bench during the last veteran's inspection in May 2022. The original Cromodora alloy wheels have been restored and repainted. A brake inspection is carried out when the vehicle is purchased.
Driving experience
A Gran Turismo par excellence. The 365 GTC/4 is just as suitable for strolling around town as it is for long journeys to the most beautiful places in the world. This Ferrari is one of the most comfortable sports coupés of its time and impresses with its luxurious interior as well as its powerful 4.4 liter V12 engine with 340 hp.
Recommendation
The Ferrari 365 GTC/4 received little attention until around 10 years ago, as it did not exude enough sportiness in Ferrari circles and no chrome bumpers adorned the end of the beautiful bodywork.
The 2+2 Ferrari, which was only produced 505 times, has become much more famous in recent years due to the desire for valuable collector's cars, which is why the 365 GTC is once again highly prized.
With this example, the buyer not only receives a reliable, classic Ferrari, but also a collectible vehicle that has spent its past in a very well-kept and professional environment.
The history
The Citroën DS has made history. Only a few automobiles are allowed to be immortalized as style icons in the automotive world. The then head of state Charles De Gaulle was also a fan of the Citroën DS and ID and had the entire state fleet equipped with them. At the parade in Paris, De Gaulle also appeared in a semi-convertible, like the example for sale here.
The company AEAT (Anciens Etablissements Ansare & Teisseire) equipped some of the ID and DS between 1957 and 1973 with the roll-top roof, which lent the style icon an additional charm. In order to maintain stability, a robust frame was built to which the high-quality fabric roof was attached.
This Series 2 ID19 spent many years in a German collection before it was imported to Switzerland in 2012 and taken over and restored by Goodtimer in 2020. In addition to the mechanical overhaul, the restoration, which cost well over 50,000 Swiss francs, included a complete conservation (ice blasting and hot wax) of the basic structure of the vehicle and the complete restoration of the interior.
Bodywork and paintwork
The body attachments were removed from a healthy substance and the hidden structures and sheet metal were freshly built up and preserved. The few welding sins from the past were undone and new sheet metal was welded in where necessary. Apart from an imperfect gap on the right-hand side wall, the entire body is in perfect condition.
After the paintwork was renewed in Germany at the turn of the century, the entire paintwork was sanded and fully restored. Thanks to the excellent substance of the paint, the body now looks as if it has been freshly painted.
The chrome parts have been refreshed, the rims freshly painted and fitted with new chrome caps. The window panes and glass are as good as new and in good working order.
The trunk is dry and covered with a sensible, but not original, protective mat. All seals are in good condition and undamaged.
The soft top has been completely restored and impregnated.
Interior
The typical DS velour seats have been reupholstered and freshly covered. The seat frames have been overhauled, as have the soft top catch and the power windows. The interior paneling was completely renewed during the restoration. The carpeting in elegant and calming gray is new and corresponds to the original.
The instruments, switches and displays are easy to operate and read and all functions are flawless. The heating system was replaced during the restoration work.
Engine and mechanics
The smooth 1.9 liter engine purrs quietly and delivers its almost 70 hp very well and sufficiently to the road. Both the engine and the gearbox are healthy and noise-free. Compression is perfect and an inspection has already been carried out for the first year of operation.
The steering wheel gearshift is hard to beat in terms of comfort, and the synchronized gearbox shifts with ease.
Chassis
The famous hydraulic suspension had to be overhauled after a long service life; the pump and regulator are new. The brakes and wheel bearings have also been renewed. The disk wheels are freshly painted and adorned with new, original chrome caps.
The underbody was exposed at great expense, ice-blasted at high pressure and freshly preserved.
Driving experience
A DS is not only divine to look at, it is also divine to drive. The uniqueness of the large retractable roof gives the driver a draught-free, open ride and the rear passengers an unforgettable open-air feeling.
The Goodtimer owner has worked for the Citroën brand for many years and cannot hide his old love for the French brand. Therefore, any judgment is subjective and should be discovered and judged by enthusiasts of such automobiles themselves.
Recommendation
In addition to its unique driving comfort and wonderful presentation, this example also proves its worth as a collector's car. According to DAT statistics, seven of these semi-convertibles are still registered, which is why the preservation of such an example must be a high priority.
The rarity of the AEAT Semi Cabriolets makes it difficult to find a market price. The equivalent of CHF 72,435 was achieved at an auction in Germany. The insurance value amounts to CHF 65,000, the price at which this DS is on offer.
The history
The Fiat 500, born in the summer of 1957, was produced over 3.7 million times in its career. The successful model, which followed the equally popular Topolino (built from 1936 to 1955), stopped production in five series (Nuova, D, F, L, R) in 1975.
This lovingly restored Fiat of the Nuova D type was completely dismantled and rebuilt by a Cinquecento specialist. Even if the restoration costs exceed the sales value of a Nuova, it was well worth bringing this gem back to life. Another 8,000 francs were invested in the technology for the fresh veteran's inspection in December 2023, which means that this Fiat 500 will be a reliable friend for the next 6 years.
A lot of love has been put into this example, which is reflected in beautiful details such as the high-quality seat covers, additional chrome applications, an original Blaupunkt radio from the 1960s or the pretty picnic case with original FIAT emblem.
Bodywork and paintwork
The bodywork was very generously rebuilt and a very good paint quality was achieved. The paintwork still looks as good as new today. Only very few stress openings can be seen at the body joints.
Interior
The entire interior is new and has high-quality stitching in an absolutely fantastic choice of colors. The frames and fittings have also been restored. The charm of the interior in combination with the convertible top of the same color made of high-quality Sonnenland fabric is unbeatable.
Engine and mechanics
The half-liter engine was overhauled an unknown time ago and underwent a new refit at Goodtimer. The engine was sealed, wearing parts replaced, carburetor renewed and much more.
Chassis
The entire chassis and brakes are part of the restoration and are in perfect and tested condition. The brake system and wheels were replaced in 2017.
Driving experience
Every Cinquecento is an experience, whether with 14 or 20 hp. The Nuova models have the greater fresh air advantage, especially for the rear passengers, as the roof can be rolled up to below the rear window. As 120km/h is not an issue for the Fiat 500, there is plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and wink back at the many waving road users and pedestrians. Even at Goodtimer, where you can often find top-class classics, you succumb to the charm of the Italian dwarf every time.
Recommendation
Genuine Nuova with the so-called “suicide doors” are very rare and therefore sought after. This example not only presents itself in a lovely color combination, it has also been professionally restored in every detail with great effort.
In our opinion, it is a very collectable example that we deliberately classify as an exclusive and high-quality classic. A welcome guest at every classic car event.

Geschichte
The history
One of the most successful sports car models from Great Britain is the Austin Healey.
The BN1 and BN2 with 4-cylinder engines left the production line 14,614 times, a total of 1,932 examples of the BN4 and BN6 with the first 6-cylinder engines were produced and exactly 42,926 of the 3000 series (BN7, BT7, BJ7 and BJ8) were built between 1959 and 1968.
The example shown here is a true Briton with right-hand drive. First registered in the south of England in June 1962, the sports car had three owners, as documented on the original English vehicle registration document.
A Swiss man living in England took his Healey to Switzerland, had it extensively overhauled in 2012 and has been driving the car to this day.
Bodywork and paintwork
The bodywork is very good, the underbody solid and preserved. The paintwork was renewed in 2012 and is now in a well-kept condition.
Interieur
The genuine leather interior was renewed, as was the carpet landscape. The soft top was also renewed and adapted to the linkage.
Engine and mechanics
The “Big Healey” shines with the power of a 6-cylinder engine with a displacement of 3 liters, which is why it is called the Austin Healey 3000. This engine was completely overhauled in 2014.
A lot was invested in the technology of this MK2, which is reflected in the optimized ignition system, an additional oil cooling system and an additional fan for hot days. Anyone who wants to drive long distances in the Healey will be grateful for the revised 2014 manual gearbox with overdrive.
Chassis
The brakes and chassis were overhauled for the last veteran's test and show very good values on the test bench. The usual rubber silent blocks on the chassis were replaced with silicone mounts.
Driving experience
Alongside the Jaguar E-Type, the Austin Healey is considered the most British and most beautiful sports roadster ever. A great example with the right sound and impressive performance.
Recommendation
This Mk2 is one of the very rare 3-carburetor models that was restored 12 years ago. Since the restoration, the Healey has been lovingly cared for and presents itself in a very honest and extremely healthy condition. In Ice Blue with the matching genuine leather interior, it is many a heartbreaker - and an attractive entry-level opportunity into the world of Big Healeys.
