History

At 115,000 units, the successor to the legendary Jaguar E-Type is not actually a high-volume model. Nevertheless, the XJ-S series was considered a successful model from Jaguar and was also the fastest (and most expensive) coupé with automatic transmission at the time.  

In the 22 years of production, various engines were used in this beautiful automobile. The well-known V12 from Jaguar is certainly one of the most popular and coherent for this car, even if maintenance is naturally somewhat more expensive than with a 6-cylinder engine.  

This example was delivered 34 years ago in Winterthur and has never left eastern Switzerland. An interesting documentation documents the serious care history of this extremely beautiful car.

The original Burgundy color is in excellent condition and has been regularly maintained and preserved over the years, so it has never had to be repainted. Everything on this car is in stunning new condition.

There are no leaks and all units function perfectly. In 34 years, the engine has not had to be washed once, as the car has never seen rain or any other bad weather.

Chassis

The suspension of the Jaguar XJ-S is considered by Jaguar connoisseurs to be one of the best non-hydraulic suspensions of the time. The 2+2 Coupé is correspondingly comfortable to drive. Even at speeds of over 200 km/h, you feel safe and in good hands in the fast Gran Tourismo.

Driving experience
